If you run a crypto casino, the cheapest way to find people who can deposit in the next five minutes is to show ads where they already hold and move coins: block explorers, DEX trackers, wallets, crypto news sites and portfolio tools. That is what crypto ad networks sell.

This guide explains how crypto ad networks work for casino traffic, which placements perform, what to expect from CTR and costs, and how to avoid paying for bots. The numbers come from inventory and campaigns we run at iAdvertising.

What a crypto ad network is

A crypto ad network aggregates ad space on crypto-native websites and apps and sells it on CPM or CPC. Unlike mainstream platforms, most of them accept crypto and Web3 advertisers by default, and many accept crypto casinos and other iGaming offers — subject to the GEO and the operator's own licensing.

There are three types of inventory:

  • Crypto websites — news, analytics, price trackers, education portals, forums.
  • dApps and on-chain tools — block explorers, DEX dashboards, wallets, token trackers. The user is actively trading or checking transactions at that moment.
  • On-chain targeting — some networks let you target wallets by behavior: holders of certain tokens, active traders, users of specific chains.

Why dApp traffic fits crypto casinos

The biggest friction in casino acquisition is the deposit. A regular player has to find a card, pass a bank check and trust the cashier. A crypto user on a DEX tracker already has a funded wallet open in another tab.

That is why dApp placements tend to show higher engagement than generic display. Through our partner inventory we work with:

  • 300M+ daily impressions
  • 2,500+ crypto and niche websites
  • On-chain placements inside dApps, on platforms like Solscan and DexTools
  • CTR around 0.4–0.6%, versus a typical 0.1% for standard display

Details: dApp traffic for crypto: 300M+ daily on-chain impressions.

A higher CTR does not automatically mean more deposits — but it means the audience is paying attention, which is the first condition for cheap FTDs.

Formats that work

Format Where it runs Best for
Banners (display) Crypto news, trackers, explorers Reach, brand recall, retargeting
Native / sponsored content Crypto media, newsletters Pre-selling trust, reviews of the casino
Text and sticky ads in dApps DEX tools, explorers, wallets Direct response to active traders
Newsletter sponsorships Crypto newsletters Warm audience, high open rates
Video (in-stream, sliders) Open-web crypto and gaming sites Brand + bonus message

For newsletters, an example of available reach: sponsorships to 260,000+ crypto subscribers with open rates around 40% (crypto brand outreach). For video on open-web inventory, see video ads for iGaming and crypto.

CPM vs CPC: how to buy

  • Start on CPC when you test a new network or placement — you pay only for clicks and can see quickly whether the audience converts.
  • Move to CPM on placements that already bring deposits. A placement with a high CTR is usually cheaper per click on CPM than on CPC.
  • Buy direct on top placements. The best spots on large crypto platforms are often sold directly or as fixed packages, not through the open auction.

The entry barrier is lower than it used to be. Campaigns targeting real crypto holders used to require around $10,000 minimum; now they can be launched with much smaller test budgets (ads for crypto holders, in Russian).

Targeting that matters for a casino

  • GEO. Crypto audiences are global, but deposit behavior differs. Test Tier-1, LATAM and Asia separately; do not mix them in one campaign.
  • Device. Split mobile and desktop. Explorer and DEX traffic is more desktop-heavy than most iGaming traffic.
  • Chain and token. If your casino accepts specific networks (TRON, Solana, BNB Chain, Ethereum), target users of those networks — it removes a deposit step.
  • Frequency. Crypto users see the same sites daily. Cap frequency, otherwise budget burns on the same people.
  • Placement whitelists. After the first week, keep only placements that produced deposits.

How to avoid paying for bots

Crypto ad inventory has its share of fraud, just like any open-web traffic. Checks we use:

  • Track to deposit, not registration — bots can register, they rarely deposit.
  • Compare CTR and time on site by placement: a placement with high CTR and near-zero time on site is a red flag.
  • Watch for traffic spikes at night in the target GEO, identical user agents and suspiciously round numbers.
  • Use a separate tracking link per placement so you can cut bad ones fast.

How crypto ad networks fit the full stack

Crypto ad networks are rarely the only channel. For a crypto casino we usually combine them with iGaming programmatic for volume and fast go-live, Telegram for community and retention, and pops or native for GEO tests.

In one crypto casino campaign, moving 40% of the budget away from Meta and Google into iGaming programmatic gave +178% deposits and −34% cost per deposit in 90 days (case). Crypto-native inventory complements that by adding an audience that already holds coins.

Launch checklist

  1. Pick 2–3 GEOs and the chains your cashier supports.
  2. Prepare 3–5 creatives per format: bonus, payout speed, supported coins, a game hook.
  3. Start on CPC with a small budget per placement.
  4. Set up postbacks for registration and FTD.
  5. After 7–10 days: cut placements without deposits, move winners to CPM.
  6. Add newsletters and native content for trust once the direct-response part works.

Private traffic sources

Public networks are where everyone buys, so the best placements there are crowded and expensive. Besides them, we run private sources that are not available in self-serve ad platforms:

  • Exclusive website pools on CPC. In Greece we have an exclusive pool of local sites: 74M+ impressions and 133K+ clicks for iGaming advertisers, with less traffic overlap than mainstream networks and lower competition (Greece case).
  • Whitelisted zones built on real deposits. In Brazil, months of buying gave us 151,500+ clicks, 6,002 registrations and 375 deposits — and, more valuable, a whitelist of zones where depositing players actually are. New campaigns start from that list, not from scratch (Brazil case).
  • Facebook- and X-style audiences without ad accounts. No account moderation, no farming or warming, your existing landing page is enough. Live GEOs include PH, BR, BD, TH, ZA, NG, MY, ID and more (how it works).

Private sources are not a replacement for testing — they are a way to skip the most crowded part of the auction. Availability depends on GEO and vertical; ask us what is open for yours.

Compliance

We launch traffic in any GEO. Licensing, age restrictions and local rules stay on the operator's side — we deliver the traffic, the operator decides where it can legally accept players.

The bottom line

Crypto ad networks put a crypto casino in front of people who already have funded wallets — on explorers, DEX tools, wallets and crypto media. With 300M+ daily impressions available and dApp CTRs of 0.4–0.6%, the channel is worth testing for any crypto casino, as long as you track to deposits and keep strict placement whitelists.
